Editing entries
Al right click on a tree entry brings up the context menu providing
several editing functions. The operations apply to a single entry or all
selected entries, depending on whether the entry had been selected
before. On the right in each menu line the keyboard shortcut is noted
that calls the corresponding funtion directly (whithout opening the
context menu).Edit: An edit dialog appears, where name, comment, and URL can be changed. The new name must not exist in the same folder. Cut: All affected entries are removed from the tree and copied into an internal clipboard (not the system clipboard). They may be inserted elsewhere in the tree subsequently. The "Del" key can be used instead of Ctrl+x. If the selected entries belong to different folders, their relative position will be preserved as far as possible. Note: A selected folder will be cut out completely, including all bookmarks and subfolders! If the root is selected, "cut" resets the whole tree to the initial state. This operation has to be confirmed separately. It leaves the tree empty, except the usual standard entry. Copy: The selected entries get copied into jBoom's clipboard, but remain in the tree. If a folder is selected, it's contents will not automatically be copied (in contrast to "cut"), but only selected entries. Insert: The contents of the jBoom clipboard are inserted after the selected bookmark, or on top of the selected folder. Instead of Ctrl-v the "Ins" key can be used. The clipboard is not changed. A "Cut" followed by "insert" moves entries, a "copy" followed by "insert" copies them. New bookmark / New folder: Same functions as in the toolbar. Make this the root folder: Exchanges the selected folder for the root. The selected folder gets the new root folder, the old one gets a subfolder of the new root. |
